Nebraska High School Basketball - Hitchcock County USD holds off Wallace

(January 27, 2012: Wallace, NE 69169) Hitchcock County USD Falcons (Trenton, NE) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Wallace Wildcats (Wallace, NE), 43-40 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Hitchcock County USD upgrades its record to 6-12 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Maywood (Maywood, NE) to play the Tigers in a D2 District 10 bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 0-16. Maywood lost 54-30 in their recent non-league bout against Hitchcock County USD (Trenton, NE)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Brady Eagles (Brady, NE) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Wallace will attempt to upgrade on its 4-9 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 14-2 record after their 46-45 non-league win over Sandhills/Thedford (Dunning, NE).
