California High School Basketball - Torrey Pines holds off Jordan

(January 7, 2012: Long Beach, CA 90805) Torrey Pines Falcons (San Diego, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the host Jordan Panthers (Long Beach, CA), 50-48 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Torrey Pines upgrades its record to 9-7 on the season. The Falcons travel to Bishop's (La Jolla, CA) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Monday, January 16. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 5-6.

Next up, the Panthers play the Cabrillo Jaguars (Long Beach, CA) in a Moore challenge, on Monday, January 9. Jordan will attempt to improve on its 10-5 season record. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a 5-8 record after their 74-68 non-league win over Salesian (Los Angeles, CA).
