Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Steelton-Highspire holds off Cumberland Valley
(January 31, 2012: Mechanicsburg, PA 17050) Steelton-Highspire Steamrollers (Steelton, PA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the host Cumberland Valley Eagles (Mechanicsburg, PA), 56-55 in a league bout.
With the win, Steelton-Highspire upgrades its record to 6-11 on the season. The Steamrollers host Carlisle (Carlisle, PA) to play the Thundering Herd in a Mid-Penn - Commonwealth bout on Friday, February 3. The Thundering Herd go into the bout with a record of 3-16. Carlisle lost 61-51 in their recent non-league bout against Central York (York, PA)
Next up, the Eagles play the Central Dauphin Rams (Harrisburg, PA) in a Mid-Penn - Commonwealth bout, on Friday, February 3. Cumberland Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 7-12 season record. The Rams go into the bout with a 18-1 record after their 52-50 league win over Harrisburg (Harrisburg, PA).
