Mississippi High School Basketball - Port Gibson holds off Warren Central

(November 10, 2011: Port Gibson, MS 39150) Port Gibson Blue Waves (Port Gibson, MS) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Warren Central Vikings (Vicksburg, MS), 53-48 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Port Gibson upgrades its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Blue Waves travel to Wilkinson County (Woodville, MS) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Tuesday, November 15. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 0-2. Wilkinson County lost 61-47 in their recent non-league bout against Natchez (Natchez, MS)

Next up, the Vikings play the Terry Bulldogs (Terry, MS) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, November 12. Warren Central will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 66-51 non-league win over Northwest Rankin (Brandon, MS).
