Arizona High School Basketball - Amphitheater holds off Buena

(January 7, 2012: Tucson, AZ 85705) Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Amphitheater Panthers (Tucson, AZ) and the visiting Buena Colts (Sierra Vista, AZ), saw Amphitheater's basketball squad hold off Buena by a score of 74-70.

With the victory, Amphitheater improves its record to 16-3 on the campaign. The Panthers host Canyon del Oro (Tucson, AZ) to play the Dorados in a II Section I challenge on Thursday, January 12. The Dorados come into the challenge with a record of 10-6.

Next up, the Colts play the Douglas Bulldogs (Douglas, AZ) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 13. Buena will attempt to improve on its 18-3 season record.
