California High School Basketball - Scripps Ranch prevails Overlake

(December 29, 2007: San Diego, CA 92131) Scripps Ranch Falcons (San Diego, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Overlake Owls (Redmond, WA), 67-54 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Scripps Ranch upgrades its record to 7-6 on the season. The Falcons host Lincoln (San Diego, CA) to encounter the Hornets in a Western bout on Saturday, January 5. The Hornets go into the bout with a record of 5-6. Lincoln lost 72-63 in their recent non-league bout against Corona (Corona, CA)

Next up, the Owls encounter the Northwest (Seattle, WA) in a 1A Emerald City bout, on Friday, January 4. Overlake will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The go into the bout with a 0-11 record after their 63-38 non-league loss to Shoreline Christian (Seattle, WA).
