Florida High School Football - Mitchell drops to Land O'Lakes

(October 6, 2011: New Port Richey, FL 34655) In Thursday's league game, the Land O'Lakes Gators (Land O'Lakes, FL) football team knocked off the host Mitchell Mustangs (New Port Richey, FL), by a final score of 48-28.

The Gators (3-2) will now prepare for their game against Nature Coast Tech (Brooksville, FL). The Sharks come into the 6A District 6 game with a 3-3 record. In their last game, Nature Coast Tech was dropped by Sunlake (Land O'Lakes, FL), 13-8, in a league game.

The Mustangs now hold a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Central for a 6A District 6 game on Friday, October 14. Mitchell will battle a Bears team coming off a 26-7 league loss to Springstead (Spring Hill, FL). The Bears record now stands at 0-7.
