Nebraska High School Basketball - Sedgwick County holds off Creek Valley

(December 16, 2011: Chappell, NE 69129) Sedgwick County Cougars (Julesburg, CO) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the host Creek Valley Storm (Chappell, NE), 61-59 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Sedgwick County upgrades its record to 3-2 on the season. The Cougars travel to Holyoke (Holyoke, CO) to play the Dragons in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 17. The Dragons go into the bout with a record of 2-2. Holyoke lost 59-50 in their recent non-league bout against Brush (Brush, CO)

Next up, the Storm play the Banner County Wildcats (Harrisburg, NE) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 17. Creek Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 2-3 record after their 48-35 league loss to Leyton (Dalton, NE).
