(September 19, 2008: Connelly Springs, NC 28612) The Starmount Rams football team (Boonville, NC), was knocked off 43-21 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host East Burke Cavaliers (Connelly Springs, NC)

The Cavaliers (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Reynolds (Asheville, NC). The Rockets come into the Northwestern challenge with a 3-1 record. In their last challenge, Reynolds was knocked off by Tuscola (Waynesville, NC), 17-14, in a non-league challenge.

The Rams now sport a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they host Forbush for a Mountain Valley challenge on Friday, September 26. Starmount will meet a Falcons team coming off a 50-0 non-league loss to North Lincoln (Denver, NC). The Falcons record now stands at 1-4.
