Texas High School Basketball - Anton crushes Cotton Center

(January 10, 2012: Cotton Center, TX 79021) Anton Bulldogs (Anton, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Cotton Center Elks (Cotton Center, TX), 56-10 in a league bout.

With the win, Anton upgrades its record to 9-13 on the season. The Bulldogs host Amherst (Amherst, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a 1A-2 Region I District 5 bout on Friday, January 13. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 1-11. Amherst lost 51-43 in their recent league bout against Whitharral (Whitharral, TX)

Next up, the Elks play the Whiteface Antelopes (Whiteface, TX) in a 1A-2 Region I District 5 game, on Friday, January 13. Cotton Center will attempt to move on its 8-12 season record. The Antelopes enter the game with a 10-8 record after their 35-33 league loss to Anton (Anton, TX).
