California High School Basketball - El Dorado holds off Brea Olinda

(January 3, 2012: Placentia, CA 92870) El Dorado Golden Hawks (Placentia, CA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the visiting Brea Olinda Wildcats (Brea, CA), 40-38 in a league bout.

With the win, El Dorado upgrades its record to 9-7 on the season. The Golden Hawks travel to Canyon (Anaheim, CA) to play the Comanches in a Century bout on Thursday, January 5. The Comanches go into the bout with a record of 11-4. Canyon lost 68-51 in their recent league bout against Foothill (Santa Ana, CA)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Santiago Cavaliers (Garden Grove, CA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 4. Brea Olinda will attempt to upgrade on its 9-5 season record. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a 1-9 record after their 48-24 non-league loss to Century (Santa Ana, CA).
