Virginia High School Football - Martinsville topples Liberty

(September 16, 2011: Bedford, VA 24523) The Martinsville Bulldogs (Martinsville, VA) football defeated the host Liberty Minutemen (Bedford, VA), 44-34 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Bulldogs face the Halifax County Comets (South Boston, VA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 23. Martinsville will attempt to advance on its 1-1 season record. The Comets enter the bout with a 1-3 record after their 24-13 non-league loss to Heritage (Lynchburg, VA).
