Oregon High School Basketball - Crater edges Acalanes
(December 30, 2011: Central Point, OR 97502) The Crater Comets (Central Point, OR) basketball nipped the visiting Acalanes Dons (Lafayette, CA), 61-58 in Friday's non-league outing.
The Comets (7-4) will now prepare for their outing against Grants Pass (Grants Pass, OR). The Cavemen go into the 6A Southern Oregon outing with a 6-3 record. In their last outing, Grants Pass was tipped by Madras (Madras, OR), 63-37, in a non-league outing.
The Dons now own a 8-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Las Lomas for a Diablo Foothill outing on Tuesday, January 3. Acalanes will encounter a Knights squad coming off a 71-48 non-league loss to College Park (Pleasant Hill, CA). The Knights record now stands at 8-6.
