North Carolina High School Football - Union Pines knocked off by Westover

(October 7, 2011: Fayetteville, NC 28303) Westover Wolverines (Fayetteville, NC) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the visiting Union Pines Vikings (Cameron, NC), 40-14 in a league test.

With the triumph, Westover improves its record to 2-6 on the campaign. The Wolverines travel to Overhills (Spring Lake, NC) to confront the Jaguars in a 3A Cape Fear Valley test on Friday, October 14. The Jaguars come into the test with a record of 2-5. Overhills won 35-33 in their recent league test against Southern Lee (Sanford, NC)

With the loss, Union Pines drops to 2-6 on the campaign. The Vikings host Southern Lee (Sanford, NC) to confront the Cavaliers in a 3A Cape Fear Valley test on Friday, October 14. The Cavaliers come into the test with a record of 5-3. Southern Lee lost 35-33 in their recent league test against Overhills (Spring Lake, NC)
