Texas High School Basketball - Brenham edges Magnolia
(January 10, 2012: Brenham, TX 77833) The Brenham Cubs (Brenham, TX) basketball nipped the visiting Magnolia Bulldogs (Magnolia, TX), 67-62 in Tuesday's league test.
The Cubs (15-5) will now prepare for their test against Stratford (Houston, TX). The Spartans go into the 4A Region III District 17 test with a 2-13 record. In their last test, Stratford was tipped by Magnolia West (Magnolia, TX), 57-44, in a league test.
The Bulldogs now own a 15-7 record. They take the field next when they host Montgomery for a 4A Region III District 17 test on Friday, January 13. Magnolia will clash with a Bears squad coming off a 78-55 league win over Northbrook (Houston, TX). The Bears record now stands at 16-7.
