New Jersey High School Football - Lenape can't hold off Cherokee
(October 13, 2006: Medford, NJ 08055) Cherokee Chiefs (Marlton, NJ) supporters exited the stadium in high spirits Friday as they observed their football squad get by the host Lenape Indians (Medford, NJ), 24-20 in a league challenge.
The Chiefs now hold a 5-0 record. They take the field next when they host Cherry Hill East for a Burlco/Olympic - American challenge on Friday, October 20. Cherokee will clash with a Cougars squad coming off a 35-6 league win over Pennsauken (Pennsauken, NJ). The Cougars record now stands at 3-2.
With the defeat, Lenape moves to 1-5 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Cherry Hill East (Cherry Hill, NJ) to clash with the Cougars in a Burlco/Olympic - American challenge on Friday, October 27. The Cougars go into the challenge with a record of 4-2. Cherry Hill East won 21-13 in their recent league battle against Cherokee (Marlton, NJ)
