(March 10, 2009: Tampa, FL 33615) Berkeley Prep Buccaneers (Tampa, FL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Lennard Longhorns (Ruskin, FL), 5-2 in a league test.

With the win, Berkeley Prep upgrades its record to 7-2 on the season. The Buccaneers travel to Tampa Catholic (Tampa, FL) to battle the Crusaders in a 3A District 11 test on Friday, March 13. The Crusaders come into the test with a record of 3-4. Tampa Catholic won 7-0 in their recent league test against St. Petersburg Catholic (St. Petersburg, FL)

With the defeat, Lennard falls to 0-7 on the season. The Longhorns host Clearwater Central Catholic (Clearwater, FL) to battle the Marauders in a 3A District 11 test on Friday, March 13. The Marauders come into the test with a record of 3-4. Clearwater Central Catholic lost 16-5 in their recent non-league test against Pendleton (Bradenton, FL)
Scoring Summary

1st inning--Ranson scores on a Nichols sacrifice fly. 3rd inning--Marston was hit by a pitch and Pikos walked bringing Sittig to the plate and he drove both home with a double. 5th inning--Ransom had a two out walk and Pikos homered to center field. The longhorns slopy play in the field cause them another game, strong pitching efforts from both starting pitchers had this game pegged as a pither's dual.
