(December 16, 2011: Houston, TX 77433) In Friday's non-league outing, the Cypress Ranch Mustangs (Houston, TX) basketball squad edged the visiting North Shore Mustangs (Houston, TX), by a count of 49-47.

The Mustangs (12-10) will now prepare for their outing against Jersey Village (Houston, TX). The Falcons go into the 5A Region III District 17 outing with a 3-14 record. In their last outing, Jersey Village was tipped by Magnolia (Magnolia, TX), 59-31, in a non-league outing.

The Mustangs now hold a 13-10 record. They take the field next when they host Fort Bend Elkins for a non-league outing on Wednesday, December 28. North Shore will encounter a Knights squad coming off a 52-27 league loss to Fort Bend Hightower (Missouri City, TX). The Knights record now stands at 5-8.
