(January 31, 2012: Hope Mills, NC 28348) Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Westover Wolverines (Fayetteville, NC) and the host Grays Creek Bears (Hope Mills, NC), saw Westover's basketball squad hold off Grays Creek by a score of 49-45.

With the victory, Westover improves its record to 6-15 on the campaign. The Wolverines host Western Harnett (Lillington, NC) to battle the Eagles in a 3A Cape Fear Valley challenge on Tuesday, February 7. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 2-15. Western Harnett lost 76-56 in their recent league challenge against Douglas Byrd (Fayetteville, NC)

Next up, the Bears battle the Overhills Jaguars (Spring Lake, NC) in a 3A Cape Fear Valley challenge, on Friday, February 3. Grays Creek will attempt to improve on its 2-13 season record. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a 12-6 record after their 71-40 non-league loss to South View (Hope Mills, NC).
