Arizona High School Basketball - South Mountain edges Tempe

(January 12, 2012: Phoenix, AZ 85040) The South Mountain Jaguars (Phoenix, AZ) basketball nipped the visiting Tempe Buffaloes (Tempe, AZ), 63-61 in Thursday's league test.

The Jaguars (12-6) will now prepare for their test against Seton Catholic (Chandler, AZ). The Sentinels go into the II Section III test with a 6-16 record. In their last test, Seton Catholic got by Maricopa (Maricopa, AZ), 49-48, in a non-league test.

The Buffaloes now own a 14-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Campo Verde for a II Section III test on Friday, January 13. Tempe will clash with a Coyotes squad coming off a 52-50 league loss to Poston Butte (San Tan Valley, AZ). The Coyotes record now stands at 8-8.
