Arizona High School Basketball - Mesa holds off Mountain Ridge

(November 22, 2011: Mesa, AZ 85204) Mesa Jackrabbits (Mesa, AZ) supporters exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their basketball team get by the visiting Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions (Glendale, AZ), 51-49 in a league battle.

The Jackrabbits now possess a 2-0 record. They play next when they host McClintock for a I Section III battle on Tuesday, November 29. Mesa will battle a Chargers team coming off a 70-53 league loss to Mountain Pointe (Phoenix, AZ). The Chargers record now stands at 1-1.

The Mountain Lions (0-2) will now prepare for their battle against Deer Valley (Glendale, AZ). The Skyhawks come into the I Section III battle with a 3-0 record.
