First Quarter Summary:
The CAmbridge Lancers struck first in their District Playoff match against the Bishop McLaughlin Hurricanes. Kristy Brooks dented the twine early to post the Lancers to a 1-0 lead. The Hurricanes Corrie Bexley knotted the score at 1-1 several minutes later on a high shot from corner that beat the Lancers netminder to the farside. Erica Houseman edged the Hurricanes to a 2-1 lead when she took a pass from Bexley and found the farside post net as well.

Second Quarter Summary:
The second half had the play mostly on the Hurricane offensive half of the field, However the Hurricanes found it difficult to score despite having two shots at an open net. The Lancers made them pay for their inefficency when Rachel Stepheson lobbed a shot in over the Hurricane keeper to tie the score at 2-2. The Hurricanes persisted and capitalized on a corner kick with less than 3 minutes to go. Hurricane Freshman played another exceptionally placed ball into the box where midfielder Alex Muscolina went airborne to get a head on the ball and nod it into the back of the net for the game winning goal.
