Washington High School Basketball - Decatur fells Peninsula

(January 28, 2012: Gig Harbor, WA 98332) Decatur Golden Gators (Federal Way, WA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad overcome the host Peninsula Seahawks (Gig Harbor, WA), 69-55 in a league bout.

With the victory, Decatur upgrades its record to 14-4 on the campaign. The Golden Gators travel to Lakes (Lakewood, WA) to play the Lancers in a 3A SPSL bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Lancers come into the bout with a record of 11-6. Lakes won 74-47 in their recent league bout against Bonney Lake (Bonney Lake, WA)

Next up, the Seahawks play the Bonney Lake Panthers (Bonney Lake, WA) in a 3A SPSL challenge, on Tuesday, January 31. Peninsula will attempt to improve on its 3-15 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 6-10 record after their 74-47 league loss to Lakes (Lakewood, WA).
