California High School Basketball - St. Mary's Academy overwhelmed by Bellarmine-Jefferson

(January 17, 2012: Inglewood, CA 90301) The Bellarmine-Jefferson Guards basketball team scored 77 points and restricted the host St. Mary's Academy Belles to 13 in the Guards league victory on Tuesday.

The Guards now sport a 13-6 record. They play next when they host St. Anthony for a Santa Cruz contest on Thursday, January 19. Bellarmine-Jefferson will meet a Saints team coming off a 69-26 league win over St. Genevieve (Panorama City, CA). The Saints record now stands at 10-7.

The Belles (2-16) will now prepare for their contest against Notre Dame Academy (Los Angeles, CA). The Regals come into the non-league contest with a 11-7 record. In their last contest, Notre Dame Academy was routed by Mission Prep (San Luis Obispo, CA), 67-57, in a non-league contest.
