Florida High School Basketball - Father Lopez prevails Melbourne Central Catholic
(December 21, 2011: Daytona Beach, FL 32124) Father Lopez Green Waves (Daytona Beach, FL) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Melbourne Central Catholic Hustlers (Melbourne, FL), 52-41 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Father Lopez upgrades its record to 14-2 on the season. The Green Waves travel to New Smyrna Beach (New Smyrna Beach, FL) to play the Barracudas in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 5. The Barracudas go into the bout with a record of 4-5.
Next up, the Hustlers play the Melbourne Bulldogs (Melbourne, FL) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 22. Melbourne Central Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 11-4 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 13-2 record after their 58-49 non-league win over Boca Ciega (Gulfport, FL).
