Texas High School Basketball - Sundown fells Tahoka

(January 10, 2012: Sundown, TX 79372) Sundown Roughnecks (Sundown, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad overcome the visiting Tahoka Bulldogs (Tahoka, TX), 63-48 in a league bout.

With the victory, Sundown upgrades its record to 16-7 on the campaign. The Roughnecks travel to Plains (Plains, TX) to play the Cowboys in a 1A-1 Region I District 6 bout on Friday, January 13. The Cowboys come into the bout with a record of 21-2. Plains won 73-37 in their recent league bout against Seagraves (Seagraves, TX)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Morton Indians (Morton, TX) in a 1A-1 Region I District 6 bout, on Friday, January 13. Tahoka will attempt to upgrade on its 11-13 season record. The Indians come into the bout with a 10-7 record after their 79-55 league loss to Plains (Plains, TX).
