(October 10, 2008: Torrance, CA 90505) In Friday's non-league game, the South Spartans (Torrance, CA) football team knocked off the visiting Palos Verdes Peninsula Panthers (Rolling Hills Estates, CA), by a score of 27-7.

The Spartans (2-3) will now prepare for their game against Lawndale (Lawndale, CA). The Cardinals come into the Pioneer game with a 4-1 record. In their last game, Lawndale was dropped by Lynwood (Lynwood, CA), 49-13, in a non-league game.
