California High School Basketball - Los Angeles Baptist holds off Village Christian

(January 27, 2012: North Hills, CA 91343) Los Angeles Baptist Knights (North Hills, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the visiting Village Christian Crusaders (Sun Valley, CA), 58-51 in a league bout.

With the win, Los Angeles Baptist upgrades its record to 18-2 on the season. The Knights travel to Valley Christian (Cerritos, CA) to play the Crusaders in a Olympic bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Crusaders go into the bout with a record of 7-15. Valley Christian lost 65-24 in their recent non-league game against JSerra Catholic (San Juan Capistrano, CA)

With the defeat, Village Christian moves to 12-8 on the year. The Crusaders travel to Whittier Christian (La Habra, CA) to face the Heralds in a Olympic game on Friday, February 3. The Heralds enter the game with a record of 12-10.
