Arizona High School Basketball - Mountain View holds off Desert Mountain

(December 6, 2011: Scottsdale, AZ 85259) Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Mountain View Toros (Mesa, AZ) and the host Desert Mountain Wolves (Scottsdale, AZ), saw Mountain View's basketball squad hold off Desert Mountain by a count of 59-54.

With the victory, Mountain View upgrades its record to 3-1 on the campaign. The Toros host St. Mary's (Phoenix, AZ) to play the Knights in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 9. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 3-4. St. Mary's won 59-56 in their recent league challenge against Central (Phoenix, AZ)

Next up, the Wolves play the Horizon Huskies (Scottsdale, AZ) in a I Section III challenge, on Friday, December 9. Desert Mountain will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record. The Huskies come into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 68-36 non-league win over Maryvale (Phoenix, AZ).
