Arizona High School Basketball - O'Connor topped by Mountain Ridge
(December 9, 2011: Glendale, AZ 85310) The Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions basketball team scored 49 points and restricted the visiting O'Connor Eagles to 35 in the Mountain Lions league victory on Friday.
The Mountain Lions now sport a 4-5 record. They play next when they travel to Boulder Creek for a I Section III contest on Tuesday, December 13. Mountain Ridge will meet a Jaguar team coming off a 56-49 non-league loss to Hoover (Hoover, AL). The Jaguar record now stands at 5-2.
The Eagles (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against Westwind Prep Academy (Phoenix, AZ). The Warriors come into the I Section III contest with a 6-2 record. In their last contest, Westwind Prep Academy beat Central (Phoenix, AZ), 67-54, in a non-league contest.
