California High School Basketball - McLane thwarts Shafter

(December 28, 2007: Fresno, CA 93703) The McLane Highlanders (Fresno, CA) basketball felled the visiting Shafter Generals (Shafter, CA), 55-39 in Friday's non-league test.

The Highlanders (4-5) will now prepare for their test against Arvin (Arvin, CA). The Bears go into the non-league test with a 5-7 record. In their last test, Arvin defeated Bakersfield Adventist (Bakersfield, CA), 53-43, in a non-league test.

The Generals now own a 3-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bakersfield Adventist for a non-league test on Saturday, December 29. Shafter will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 53-43 non-league loss to Arvin (Arvin, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 2-1.
