(May 4, 2011: Pleasanton, CA 94566) In Wednesday's league game, the visiting Monte Vista Mustangs baseball team scored a tight 4-2 victory over the Amador Valley Dons.

The Mustangs (14-5) will now prepare for their game against Foothill (Pleasanton, CA). The Falcons go into the East Bay game with a 9-8 record. In their last game, Foothill tipped Livermore (Livermore, CA), 7-3, in a league game.

Scoring Summary

: The Dons couldn't figure out Monte Vista pitcher Daniel Gallagher (complete game victory) until the 6th inning but the single runs in the 6th and 7th innings were too little, too late. Jonathan Camello had a pinch hit double and Michael Echavia added a pinch hit rbi triple in the 7th. Nick Piscotty battled on the mound but was again a victim of minimal run support. Ryan Lacy and Tony DeMartino led the Mustangs with 2 hits apiece, while Jason Tuan, Mason Melin, and Nick Shirreffs each contributed key hits in Monte Vista's victory.
