California High School Basketball - Newbury Park prevails Calabasas

(February 6, 2012: Newbury Park, CA 91320) Newbury Park Panthers (Newbury Park, CA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Calabasas Coyotes (Calabasas, CA), 52-34 in a league bout.

With the win, Newbury Park upgrades its record to 13-12 on the season. The Panthers travel to Moorpark (Moorpark, CA) to play the Musketeers in a Marmonte bout on Thursday, February 9. The Musketeers go into the bout with a record of 13-8. Moorpark lost 66-40 in their recent league bout against Thousand Oaks (Thousand Oaks, CA)

In their next game, the Coyotes face the Westlake Warriors (Westlake Village, CA) in a Marmonte game, on Thursday, February 9. Calabasas will attempt to move on its 7-19 season record. The Warriors enter the game with a 13-11 record after their 56-54 league win over Royal (Simi Valley, CA).
