Arizona High School Basketball - Marana prevails Pusch Ridge Christian Academy

(January 17, 2012: Tucson, AZ 85737) Marana Tigers (Tucson, AZ) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Pusch Ridge Christian Academy Lions (Tucson, AZ), 49-33 in a non-league challenge.

With the victory, Marana improves its record to 10-10 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Ironwood Ridge (Tucson, AZ) to battle the Nighthawks in a I Section II challenge on Friday, January 20. The Nighthawks come into the challenge with a record of 8-12. Ironwood Ridge lost 24-21 in their recent non-league challenge against Sahuaro (Tucson, AZ)

Next up, the Lions battle the Catalina Foothills Falcons (Tucson, AZ) in a II Section I challenge, on Friday, January 20. Pusch Ridge Christian Academy will attempt to improve on its 9-6 season record. The Falcons come into the challenge with a 15-6 record after their 62-45 league loss to Palo Verde (Tucson, AZ).
