California High School Basketball - St. Mary's Academy ripped by St. Joseph
(January 14, 2012: Lakewood, CA 90713) The St. Joseph Jesters basketball team scored 49 points and held the visiting St. Mary's Academy Belles to 19 in the Jesters non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Jesters now sport a 13-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mary Star of the Sea for a Camino Real contest on Tuesday, January 17. St. Joseph will confront a Stars team coming off a 71-25 league loss to La Salle (Pasadena, CA). The Stars record now stands at 5-11.
The Belles (2-15) will now prepare for their contest against Bellarmine-Jefferson (Burbank, CA). The Guards enter the Santa Cruz contest with a 11-6 record. In their last contest, Bellarmine-Jefferson trounced Ventura (Ventura, CA), 62-39, in a non-league contest.
