Florida High School Baseball - River Ridge loses to Land O'Lakes

(March 27, 2009: Land O'Lakes, FL 34638) In Friday's league game, the host Land O'Lakes Gators baseball team scored a nice 12-2 victory over the River Ridge Knights /Royal.

The Gators (10-4) will now prepare for their game against Sunlake (Land O'Lakes, FL). The Seahawks go into the non-league game with a 8-7 record. In their last game, Sunlake was overwhelmed by Pasco (Dade City, FL), 6-4, in a league contest.

The Knights /Royal now sport a 9-7 record. They play next when they travel to Palm Harbor University for a non-league contest on Monday, March 30.
Scoring Summary

Big flies by J.J. Downum and Nick Pardo in the 1st set the tone for LOL securing the top seed for the District Tourney. Pardo homered for the 2nd time in as many games. Curt Hilgenberg continued his hot streak, going 3-4 with 4 RBI.
