Oregon High School Basketball - Heppner ripped by Elgin

(February 4, 2012: Elgin, OR 97827) The Elgin Huskies basketball team scored 59 points and held the visiting Heppner Mustangs to 33 in the Huskies league triumph on Saturday.

The Huskies now sport a 4-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Irrigon for a 2A Blue Mountain contest on Tuesday, February 7. Elgin will confront a Knights team coming off a 78-75 league loss to Pilot Rock (Pilot Rock, OR). The Knights record now stands at 12-8.

The Mustangs (9-11) will now prepare for their contest against Union (Union, OR). The Bobcats enter the 2A Blue Mountain contest with a 3-15 record. In their last contest, Union was routed by Stanfield (Stanfield, OR), 59-49, in a league contest.
