Texas High School Basketball - Nueces Canyon edges Presidio

(December 29, 2011: Presidio, TX 79845) The Nueces Canyon Panthers (Barksdale, TX) basketball nipped the host Presidio (Presidio, TX), 49-44 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Panthers (12-6) will now prepare for their test against Medina (Medina, TX). The Bobcats go into the non-league test with a 15-4 record. In their last test, Medina got by Ingram Moore (Ingram, TX), 60-36, in a non-league test.

The now own a 0-5 record. They take the field next when they host Mountain View for a 3A Region I District 3 test on Saturday, January 7. Presidio will clash with a Lobos squad coming off a 51-31 league win over Fabens (Fabens, TX). The Lobos record now stands at 8-12.
