California High School Volleyball - Newbury Park tips Rio Mesa
(October 1, 2011: Oxnard, CA 93030) In Saturday's non-league contest, the Newbury Park Panthers (Newbury Park, CA) volleyball squad nudged the host Rio Mesa Spartans (Oxnard, CA), by a margin of 1-0.
Next up, the Panthers battle the Moorpark Musketeers (Moorpark, CA) in a Marmonte contest, on Monday, October 3. Newbury Park will attempt to better on its 7-12 season record. The Musketeers go into the contest with a 12-7 record after their 3-0 league loss to Westlake (Westlake Village, CA).
With the loss, Rio Mesa moves to 3-10 on the year. The Spartans travel to Pacifica (Oxnard, CA) to battle the Tritons in a Pacific View contest on Tuesday, October 4. The Tritons go into the contest with a record of 4-2.
