(January 22, 2012: Malvern, PA 19355) The Phelps Lions (Malvern, PA) basketball nipped the visiting Shipley (Bryn Mawr, PA), 58-54 in Sunday's non-league test.

The Lions (10-5) will now prepare for their test against Perkiomen (Pennsburg, PA). The Panthers go into the Tri-County test with a 14-3 record. In their last test, Perkiomen got by Solebury (New Hope, PA), 62-57, in a non-league test.

The now own a 9-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Westtown for a Friends Schools test on Tuesday, January 24. Shipley will clash with a squad coming off a 65-60 non-league loss to South Kent School (South Kent, CT). The record now stands at 12-9.
