Texas High School Basketball - Marshall nudges Nacogdoches
(February 3, 2012: Nacogdoches, TX 75963) In Friday's league outing, the Marshall Mavericks (Marshall, TX) basketball squad edged the host Nacogdoches Dragons (Nacogdoches, TX), by a count of 60-56.
The Mavericks (17-12) will now prepare for their outing against Tyler (Tyler, TX). The Lions go into the 4A Region II District 14 outing with a 19-5 record. In their last outing, Tyler nipped Whitehouse (Whitehouse, TX), 52-41, in a league outing.
The Dragons now hold a 10-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kilgore for a 4A Region II District 14 match on Tuesday, February 7. Nacogdoches will face a Bulldogs team coming off a 51-46 league win over Hallsville (Hallsville, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 10-12.
