Texas High School Basketball - Cayuga overwhelms Big Sandy

(January 20, 2012: Cayuga, TX 75832) Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Cayuga Wildcats (Cayuga, TX) and the visiting Big Sandy Wildcats (Big Sandy, TX), saw Cayuga's basketball squad trounce Big Sandy by a score of 79-16.

With the victory, Cayuga improves its record to 13-10 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Cross Roads (Malakoff, TX) to battle the Bobcats in a 1A-1 Region III District 20 challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a record of 1-6.

Next up, the Wildcats battle the Hawkins Hawks (Hawkins, TX) in a 1A-1 Region III District 20 challenge, on Tuesday, January 24. Big Sandy will attempt to advance on its 1-8 season record. The Hawks go into the test with a 11-8 record after their 76-41 league loss to Martins Mill (Ben Wheeler, TX).
