California High School Basketball - Saratoga can't hold off Santa Clara

(February 1, 2012: Santa Clara, CA 95051) The Santa Clara Bruins basketball team scored 68 points and restricted the visiting Saratoga Falcons to 63 in the Bruins league victory on Wednesday.

The Bruins now sport a 16-3 record. They play next when they travel to Monta Vista for a El Camino contest on Friday, February 3. Santa Clara will meet a Matadors team coming off a 46-41 league loss to Los Altos (Los Altos, CA). The Matadors record now stands at 9-11.

The Falcons (13-7) will now prepare for their contest against Wilcox (Santa Clara, CA). The Chargers come into the El Camino contest with a 8-11 record. In their last bout, Wilcox was edged by Santa Clara (Santa Clara, CA), 62-54, in a league bout.
