Arizona High School Basketball - Mountain View fells Gilbert

(February 5, 2010: Mesa, AZ 85213) Mountain View Toros (Mesa, AZ) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad overcome the visiting Gilbert Tigers (Gilbert, AZ), 65-49 in a league bout.

With the victory, Mountain View upgrades its record to 19-3 on the campaign. The Toros travel to Chavez (Laveen, AZ) to play the Champions in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 9. The Champions come into the bout with a record of 21-2. Chavez won 88-53 in their recent league bout against Centennial (Peoria, AZ)

Next up, the Tigers play the Highland Hawks (Gilbert, AZ) in a 5A Central bout, on Tuesday, February 9. Gilbert will attempt to upgrade on its 7-17 season record. The Hawks come into the bout with a 1-21 record after their 60-44 league loss to Dobson (Mesa, AZ).
