California High School Basketball - Palma edges Mission Prep

(January 21, 2012: San Luis Obispo, CA 93401) The Palma Chieftains (Salinas, CA) basketball nipped the host Mission Prep Royals (San Luis Obispo, CA), 69-66 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Chieftains (9-8) will now prepare for their test against Alisal (Salinas, CA). The Trojans go into the Tri-County test with a 4-12 record. In their last test, Alisal was tipped by Gilroy (Gilroy, CA), 47-38, in a league test.

The Royals now own a 17-4 record. They take the field next when they host St. Joseph for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 24. Mission Prep will clash with a Knights squad coming off a 68-60 league loss to Arroyo Grande (Arroyo Grande, CA). The Knights record now stands at 13-7.
