Texas High School Basketball - Ponder fells Springtown

(December 1, 2011: Ponder, TX 76259) Ponder Lions (Ponder, TX) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad overcome the visiting Springtown Porcupines (Springtown, TX), 65-51 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Ponder upgrades its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Muenster (Muenster, TX) to play the Hornets in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 6. The Hornets come into the bout with a record of 9-1. Muenster won 88-27 in their recent non-league bout against Trinity Valley (Fort Worth, TX)

Next up, the Porcupines play the Jacksboro Tigers (Jacksboro, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 2. Springtown will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 1-2 record after their 35-17 non-league win over Southwest Christian (Fort Worth, TX).
