South Johnston Trojans (Four Oaks, NC) football nudged the host
Southern Lee Cavaliers (Sanford, NC),
29-25 in Friday's league bout.
In their next game, the Trojans face the
Western Harnett Eagles (Lillington, NC) in a
Cape Fear Valley bout, on Friday, October 12.
South Johnston will attempt to move on its 6-1 season record. The Eagles enter the bout with a 0-7 record after their
47-17 league loss to
Triton (Erwin, NC).
The Cavaliers (3-4) will now prepare for their bout against
Grays Creek (Hope Mills, NC). The Bears enter the
Cape Fear Valley bout with a 1-6 record. In their last bout,
Grays Creek was nudged by
Union Pines (Cameron, NC),
35-12, in a league bout.
