(January 13, 2012: Cedar Vale, KS 67024) Cedar Vale/Dexter Spartans (Cedar Vale, KS) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Argonia Red Raiders (Argonia, KS), 63-47 in a league bout.

With the win, Cedar Vale/Dexter upgrades its record to 5-5 on the season. The Spartans travel to Caldwell (Caldwell, KS) to play the Bluejays in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 14. The Bluejays go into the bout with a record of 1-9. Caldwell lost 43-40 in their recent league bout against Central (Burden, KS)

Next up, the Red Raiders play the West Elk Patriots (Howard, KS) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 14. Argonia will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Patriots go into the bout with a 2-7 record after their 39-30 league loss to Oxford (Oxford, KS).
