Florida High School Basketball - Newsome prevails Strawberry Crest

(January 30, 2012: Lithia, FL 33547) Newsome Wolves (Lithia, FL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Strawberry Crest Chargers (Dover, FL), 67-58 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Newsome upgrades its record to 10-10 on the season. The Wolves travel to Middleton (Tampa, FL) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 1. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 1-15. Middleton lost 66-48 in their recent non-league bout against Riverview (Riverview, FL)

Next up, the Chargers play the Durant Cougars (Plant City, FL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 3. Strawberry Crest will attempt to upgrade on its 15-9 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 3-18 record after their 52-35 non-league loss to Freedom (Tampa, FL).
