Ohio High School Basketball - East overwhelms Western

(January 18, 2012: Sciotoville, OH 45662) Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the East Tartans (Sciotoville, OH) and the visiting Western Indians (Latham, OH), saw East's basketball squad trounce Western by a count of 48-24.

With the victory, East upgrades its record to 3-10 on the campaign. The Tartans host Clay (Portsmouth, OH) to play the Panthers in a Southern Ohio I challenge on Thursday, January 19. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 8-5. Clay won 52-51 in their recent league challenge against Eastern (Beaver, OH)

Next up, the Indians play the Glenwood Tigers (New Boston, OH) in a Southern Ohio I challenge, on Thursday, January 19. Western will attempt to upgrade on its 0-8 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 6-6 record after their 58-36 league loss to Notre Dame (Portsmouth, OH).
